Charles Esche is director of van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven and co-editor of Afterall, an art journal and publisher based at Central St.Martins College of Art and Design, London and CalArts, Los Angeles. Esche is visiting theorist at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam and will co-curate the Istanbul Biennial with Vasif Kortun in 2005.
