Marjetica Potrc

Artist and Architect

Marjetica Potrc is an artist and architect based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her work has been exhibited extensively throughout Europe and the Americas, with solo shows at the Guggenheim Museum (New York, 2001), the PBICA (Lake Worth, Florida, 2003), and elsewhere. Her many on-site installations include Balcony with Wind Turbine (the Liverpool Biennial, 2004) and the Dry Toilet (Caracas, 200). She has taught at several well-known institutions in Europe and North America, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2005), and has published a number of essays on contemporary urban architecture. She is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, most notably the Hugo Boss Prize (2000).
